Mr Okwonkow and his wife

As Covid 19 continue to sweep, forcibly confining practically everybody to their homes and visiting untold hunger on individuals, there is no end in sight to it's scathing effects

Some organisations and individuals have also taken up the challenge to relieve the poor and vulnerable by providing food, personal protection equipment (PPE) and shelter even as the number of confirmed Covid 19 cases grows in the country in a daily basis

One of such benevolent person who has risen to the occassion is a Nigerian born businessman and philanthropist, Mr Patrick Okwonkow who is currently staying in Kumasi has supplied food items like bag of rice, cooking oil, hand Sanitizers, face mask, Noddles Sphegati, Gari, tomato paste, milk and Milo to beneficiaries living in Ashtown, Aboabo, Araba and Kumasi Kejetia and medical kits to some selected hospitals in kumasi

In the course his disbursement of these items to the residents in these communities the Nigerian philanthropist cum businessman also distributed some amount of Ghana cedis to some people.
Mr Okwonkow said that helping the needy and the vulnerable shows a great sign of benevolence to God rather than man especially in this challenging moments where the whole world is battling with a common enemy and it has been his earnest plea to support people within his neighbor and wherever he finds him
“Service to humanity is service to God. so i think it is a little way I can also help my fellow human beings especially the vulnerable including myself but I’ve decided to share a little that I have with them also” he said
Mr Okwonkow then advised the General public, especially wealthy people to help the poor for the Bible says blessed is the one who giveth than the one taketh.
